Friday, November 11th Sports

The Pelicans are in the “Win” column! Anthony Davis-who else?- led New Orleans to their first win of the season, a 112-106 win over Milwaukee that kept the Pels from setting a record for the worst start to a season in franchise history. As it is, New Orleans is 1-8 and Philadelphia is the NBA’s lone winless team.

The Bucks have become known for their graciousness---This past Sunday they were the Mavericks first victim after Dallas opened the year 0-5.

Davis canned a pair of free throws with 12 seconds to play to seal the win for New Orleans. Next up? A home game against the Lakers, who handled the Pelicans all three times they met last year.

The Cleveland Browns are 0-10 for the first time in franchise history after Baltimore drubbed them Thursday night, 28-7. The Browns led 7-3 at one point, but their offense struggled so much, head coach Hue Jackson used all three quarterbacks at his disposal and nothing worked.

Joe Flacco had a red-hot third quarter to spring the Ravens to their second straight win and a 5-4 record. Former Louisiana Tech star, Kenneth Dixon had the most productive game of his rookie season in Baltimore, carrying the ball 6 times for 38 yards and snagging 5 catches for an additional 42 yards.
